for hair transplant donor’s hair is taken from the back of the scalp which is hormonally resistant. These hairs do not have (Alpha) receptors which attract Dihydro Testosterone (DL+T), the hormone responsible for baldness.
Hence the hormonally resistant hair is shifted to the bald area which will retain their properties, that’s why hair transplant is more or less permanent. with aging hair will become white and thin out but complete baldness of transplanted hair is rare.
