FUE also known as “Follicular Unit Extraction” is the movement of genetic groups of hair known as follicular units (FU); “bunches” of hair usually 1 to 4 hairs. This method is a natural hair transplant method and the most elegant and successful method currently available to resolving hair loss. Microscopic hair follicles are taken from the donor area where there is plenty of healthy and strong hair and transplanted to the recipient area where there is a lack.

A surgical punch surrounds the FU and with a great deal of skill and precise measurement of skin and hair angles the FU is removed. Extraction is done between 1500 and 2000 being extracted and placed in one day. More important to the amount is the yield or growth rate, so the amount will vary from person to person.

In FUE hair transplantation donor hair can be extracted from nearly any part of the body. Usually the sides and back of the head, also the chest and back are used.

Strip harvesting is the most common technique for removing hair and follicles from a donor site. Doctor harvests a strip of skin from the posterior scalp, in an area of good hair growth. Scalpel is used to remove strip of hair-bearing tissue from the donor site. Incision is made in a way that intact hair follicles are removed. The excised strip is about 1.5 - 2 X 15–30 cm in size. From the strip excess fibrous and fatty tissue is carefully removed and dissected to individual follicular unit cells without damage to the follicular grafts, which are small, naturally formed groups of hair follicles, used for grafting.

Strip harvesting will leave a "pencil thin" linear scar in the donor area, which is typically covered by a patient's hair even at relatively short lengths. The recovery period is around 2 weeks and will require the stitches to be removed.

PRP therapy is a proactive therapeutic option for male and female patients experiencing hair loss. PRP is an exciting non-surgical therapeutic option for patients who require stimulation of hair growth for hair loss conditions. Recent scientific research and technology provides the medical community with new understandings of wound and tissue healing.

As a result of these scientific studies, we recognize PRP is an all-natural autologous medical procedure performed in physicians offices for scalp, skin, and hair stimulation. While studies are slowing being published in the medical literature on the success of PRP, the hair restoration community remains cautious about making claims for hair restoration using exclusively PRP.

Individual results vary with each patient. No guarantees of success can be made but PRP preliminary studies indicate patients can respond to PRP therapy. Some hair restoration surgeons apply PRP to the scalp for those patients who are not surgical candidates every three (3) to four (4) months.

Microneedling works by causing small, pin-prick sized wounds in the skin. These are not wounds in the classic sense of the word, however, and microneedling should not cause bleeding when done correctly (both at the right depth and with the right amount of pressure)

These “wounds,” however, initiate the three healing phases which skin typically undergoes after trauma. This stimulates collagen production, as well as the production of new skin cells.

After the treatment, there are three healing phases which the skin undergoes. They are: Inflammation Proliferation Maturation (Remodeling)

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic pigmentation method that uses highly advanced techniques. Although it is often thought to be the same as traditional tattooing, there are clear differences. SMP uses highly specialized methods and equipment to inject pigmentation into the scalp. The intricate procedure can be used for both men and women.

Many patients have come to prefer Scalp Micropigmentation over other treatments because it is noninvasive and virtually painless. Although wigs can help to hide the issues that cause you to feel insecure, there is quite a bit of maintenance involved and they can be expensive. You could also choose hair transplant procedures, but you may be left with unsightly scars. Scalp Micropigmentation will give you the results you want while eliminating the disadvantages of other treatments. It is also affordable when compared to other options.
